Feral animals can significantly disrupt local ecosystems, threatening native species, crops, and the balance of the environment. To support landholders and community members in managing these threats, we offer feral animal trap loans as part of our commitment to conservation across Central Australia.

Why Trap Feral Animals?

Feral animals, such as cats, Spotted Doves, and stray dogs, can cause extensive damage to local wildlife and habitats. They prey on native animals, compete for resources, and contribute to land degradation. By trapping and controlling their populations, you help protect native species, preserve ecological balance, and reduce environmental harm.

How It Works

  • Loan a Trap. If you’re dealing with a feral animal issue on your property, you can borrow a trap from us. We offer a variety of traps suited for different species. To loan a trap, you’ll need to sign an animal ethics form and agree to keep a record of the animals you trap so we can monitor species populations.
  • Set the Trap. Once you have the trap, follow our guidelines to set it up safely and effectively. We’ll provide advice on the best methods for trapping different species.
  • Return the Trap. After using the trap, return it to us as well as the animal record sheet. Our team will be available to offer additional advice for your feral animal management efforts.
