Land for Wildlife and Garden for Wildlife, are partner programs providing land holders with recognition, access to advice from environmental scientists, and connections to a like-minded community with decades of experience in wildlife habitat protection and restoration in Central Australia.

Land for Wildlife

Land for Wildlife is a volunteer, nature conservation program that contributes to the construction of nature corridors in the MacDonnell Ranges Bioregion.

Our member base extends to Yulara, Andado Station and more recently Narweitooma Station, including properties in  the rural areas of Alice Springs.

We support landholders and residents to create biodiverse habitats on their private properties through providing a land assessment, which contains specific information about natural resource management. Members also receive access to ongoing advice and support, regular newsletters and access to free workshops and events.

Garden for Wildlife

Garden for Wildlife is a non-legally binding program for urban and peri-urban land holders, who are interested in maximising the utility of their property as wildlife habitat. This program is crucial in developing corridors and patches of viable wildlife habitat in developed areas.

GFW carries a $10 administration fee and members receive a comprehensive resource pack, an informal assessment of their property and ongoing advice and suggestions.

Garden for Wildlife members receive a sign as recognition of their volunteer efforts, a regular newsletter and access to free workshops and events.
